Amy Lynn Tunny

Amy Lynn Tunny, 39, of Springfield passed away on June 27 after a tragic accident. She was born March 31, 1981 to Bradley Moenning and Beverly Johnson.
Tunny graduated from Republic High School in 1999 and attended College of the Ozarks. She married Brian Tunny on June 25, 2004. Tunny was a Christian woman who loved her family. She was a stay-at-home mom with her own daycare.
She loved to sing and had the voice of an angel; singing with choirs at Carnegie Hall and in the praise band at Hope First Baptist Church in Hope, Ind.
Tunny is survived by the following: her husband, Brian of Springfield; three children, Jordan, Aaron, and Madilynn; three stepsons, Cory, Dillon, and Lars; four grandchildren, her parents Bradley (Amy) Moenning and Beverly (Jim) Johnson; three brothers, Kasey (April), Ethan (Savannah) and Chandler (Mackenzie) Moenning; one sister, Sarah (Cody) Kissinger; her in-laws, Hubert and Brenda Tunny; grandmothers, Betty Moenning and Delores Wise; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by both grandfathers, John Wise and Clarence Moenning.
The family received friends at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic, from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2020 at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic, with Pastor Brad Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Republic.
