The Ash Grove FFA Chapter hosted a labor auction the evening of Sept. 22 at Ash Grove High School.
The evening began with a chili supper which was followed by the 2017-2018 chapter banquet slide show. Then the labor auction began, with all of the members being sold in their new chapter T-shirts. The members sold in 30 groups of two. The auctioneering was performed by chapter president MaKenna Johnson and chapter advisor Nathan Isakson.
The top selling group of FFA'ers was comprised of Wyatt Stubblefield and Miles Nentrup. The top buyer for the evening was David Hazelrigg. In total, the chapter raised $2,700.
"I think it went really well and a lot of our community came out to support us which is always greatly appreciated," said Alexis Long, 2nd Vice President.
"We had a pretty big turnout and ran out of chili which is a good thing," said FFA'er Hunter Wheeler. "The labor auction is a great way to serve the community as we help others with tasks they might not otherwise be able to do."
