Ash Grove football drops game to Sarcoxie, will play Pierce City this Friday

 Ash Grove hosted the Sarcoxie Bears on Friday, Oct. 25, but fell 14-12. No statistics were provided by the Ash Grove coaching staff for this game.
With the loss, the Pi- rates dropped to 4-5 on the season and finished seventh in the Class 1, District 2 standings.
Thayer finished first with 55.75 points, fol- lowed by Pierce City (50.35 points), Miller (45.17 points), Cabool (37.29 points), Sarcoxie (31.19 points), Marionville (31.86 points), Ash Grove (28.97 points) and Diamond (20.35 points).
With the regular season now over, the first round post season brackets have been set and will get un- derway this Friday, with the higher seed hosting the lower seed.
Diamond will travel to Thayer; Pierce City will host Ash Grove, Marionville will go to Miller and Sarcoxie plays at Cabool.
Ash Grove played Pierce City back on Sept. 20, and lost 46-0 at Pierce City.
