Former Greenfield School District art teacher tasked with adding ag art
A farm mural, the brain child of Ash Grove MFA manager Jordon Miller, is coming to fruition thanks to Miller's high school art teacher Angie Myers. The now-retired Myers, (shown above) who taught art at Greenfield High School for 24 years and resides in Everton, is tackling the challenge of painting the mural on a concrete wall just east of the Ash Grove MFA building. This isn't her first rodeo though, as she also painted the mural at Mama Loca's on Ash Grove's Main Street.
Myers has been painting the scene sporadically since June, as time allows. Although there's no set timeline for the mural's completion, once finished, its image will grace the Greene County Commonwealth in its entirety. (Photo by Ryan Squibb)
