Ash Grove volleyball opens the year 1-1 with loss to Stockton, win against Greenfield—both at home

In volleyball, the Lady Pirates hosted two games last week against Stockton and Greenfield.
On Thursday, Sept. 5, the Lady Pirates lost in straight sets to Stockton, 15-25 and 17-25.
The Lady Pirates opened the season on Tuesday, Sept. 3, with a straight set victory over Greenfield, 25-18 and 25-23.
“It was a hard fight for your Lady Pirates against the Lady Tigers, but the Lady Tigers came out on top,” said head coach Diana Dreier.
Ash Grove is scheduled for two road games this week, as they were to travel to Springfield Catholic on Tuesday night and then fin- ish up on Thursday with a game at School of the Ozarks.
