AUDREY "CAELI" NIOLE MCALISTER

Audrey “Caeli” Nicole McAlister, 35, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023. She was born on Feb. 9, 1988, in Springfield, to Anthony and Yvette Mitchell, the second of four children in the home, and the oldest girl.
She attended Clever schools. She was a free spirit who loved animals, especially her horses. She was a very hard worker, she loved working in the construction industry, laying brick, hanging drywall, pouring concrete. She had three children, Dakota, Riley and Denton.
McAlister is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Mickey Cook, her paternal grandparents Charles and Karen Mitchell, her brother Javen Mitchell, and her niece Katelynn Larsen.
She is survived by her children, Dakota Mitchell, Riley McAlister and Denton McAlister; parents Yvette and Anthony Mitchell; sisters Yvette Larsen and husband Steven, Rachael Lewis and husband Randall; grandmother Judy Shevling, a grandson, nieces Blakely, Brinley and Bexley Joe Lewis, nephew Bonner Lewis; as well as aunts, uncles and other extended family and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meadors Funeral Home to assist the family in offsetting the cost of funeral expenses. A visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Hurley Baptist Church. Funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Winfree officiating. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
