BETTY BELINDA (JONES) HARRIS

Betty Belindia Harris (Jones), 93, of Springfield, passed away at Springfield Villa on Feb. 13, 2023.  She was born in Fairfax to Charles and Ella (Green) Jones.
Harris was united in marriage to Norvel W. “Junior” Harris, Jr. on May 26, 1957. This union produced a son, Edward. Betty and Junior lived their lives in Hamilton, Odessa and Springfield.  Harris was employed by Manley’s Popcorn Elevator and Harmon’s in northern Missouri during her life.  
Harris was preceded in death by her parents; son Edward W. Harris; brothers Dale Jones, Charles Jones and Maurice Jones; sisters, Eva McGuire, “Toots” Mingus, Cleta Hargus and Carrol Linthicum.
Harris leaves behind a granddaughter and her great-granddaughter both of Springfield; a sister, Rowena Broermann of Shenandoah, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her daughters-in-law, Kimberly Harris of Lake Butler, Fla. and Julie Phillips of Springfield.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, with the funeral service beginning at noon, at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
