BETTY H. WRIGHT

Betty H. Wright, 91, of Clever passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield,. She was born on April 22, 1932, near Clever, the daughter of the late Cloyd H. and Rachel Leticia “Tishie” (Jones) Hanafin.
She married George W. Wright on Aug. 17, 1952, and was blessed with three children: Elizabeth, Larry, and Mark.
They raised their family on the farm in Clever that they purchased together in 1955 and they shared 63 years together before he passed away.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Rick) Short of Monett, Larry (Jodi) Wright of Verona, and Mark (Sheli) Wright of Clever; five grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Rotrock of Ozark and many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, George Wright; parents; siblings Beulah Beuscher, Mildred Crawford, Earl, Ottis, Kenneth, Leon, Donald Hanafin and infant siblings, James, Junior, and Velda.
A visitation was held on Sunday, Dec. 3, at Meadors Funeral Home in Clever Chapel. Burial followed in Mount Carmel Cemetery south of Clever.
