Billy Gene DeArman, Sr.

Billy Gene DeArman, Sr., passed away March 17, 2019, at his home in Walnut Grove.
DeArman was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Watonga, Okla., to William Lucion DeArman and Rosie Mae Avants DeArman. On Nov. 23, 1954, Billy and Jean (Higginbottom) were
united in marriage and shared over 64 years together.
DeArman was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wal- nut Grove. He loved being outdoors, especially when he could be hunting or fishing. He also enjoyed watching western movies.
DeArman is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sabrina Jackson, son, Billy DeArman, Jr., granddaughter, Tearra Emmett, brothers John, Timo- thy, and Tilton DeArman, sisters Dora Deckert, Fannie Bigler, Flora Martin, Wilma Goodner, Velvie Schroader, and Carol Harvin.
Survivors include wife Jean DeArman of the home, daughters Rose Slayton of Everton, Cheryl Clark and husband Dave of Yukon, Okla., grandchildren Bobby Carman of Paden, Okla.,, Jennifer Hamm of Eudora, Angela LaGue and wife April of Corvallis, Ore., Mariah Funk and husband Devin of Stroud, Okla, David Smith of Rome, Ga., David Clark and wife Nikki of Waco, Texas, Desirea Romesburg and husband Matt of Ebenezer, Billy DeArman and Sidney Elling of Morrisville, Beau DeArman and Emily Green of Springfield; 18 great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, brother David DeArman, sisters Wanda Kessler and Paula Mahe.
The family will have a private memorial. Arrange- ments under the direction of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove.
