Billy Joe “B.J.” Aldrich

Billy Joe “B.J.” Aldrich, 87, of Republic, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield. He was born July 31, 1931, in Macon, the son of Silsby Andrew and Nellie (Good) Aldrich.
Aldrich proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, during the Korean Conflict.
He was known as the “jack of all trades;” enjoyed fishing and spend- ing time at the lake; was a man of faith; and was very devoted to his family. Aldrich was a member of the First Baptist Church in Republic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Junior and Lloyd; and a sister, Betty.
Aldrich is survived by his wife, Betty Pauline (Reynolds) Aldrich; three sons and their spouses, Bill and Debora Aldrich, Mike and Donna Al- drich, and Phil and Karen Aldrich; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jerri Davis, Mary Brown, and Bonnie Day; and many more extended family and close friends.
A visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic Chapel. The funeral service was at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019, in First Baptist Church, Republic. Burial followed the service at 10 a.m., with military honors, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, in Republic.
