Carol Louise Erven Chastain Mahurin Stewart

Carol Louise “Lou” Erven Chastain Mahurin Stewart, 73, of Springfield, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020. Stewart was born Nov. 20, 1946 to Helen Louise Farmer Erven Lewis and Edwin Erven in Oxnard, Calif. She moved to Springfield, and graduated from Hillcrest High School.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Stewart; her parents; step father, Adrain Lewis and her brother, Larry Erven.
Survivors include her two children, Jeff (Delaina) Chastain of Willard, and Angela (Chris) Chastain-Annin of Springfield; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Newton of Springfield, and Lana (Gary) Thomas of Springfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends.  
A visitation was Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 1-2 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 S. Lone Pine Ave Springfield, MO) with a funeral service starting at 2 p.m.
