Charles Edward Renshaw

Charles Edward Renshaw, 63, passed away Feb. 4 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Renshaw was born in Springfield, at St. John's Mercy Hospital, Nov. 29, 1958 to Billie and Frances (formerly Renshaw) Reed.   

Renshaw learned many lessons as a Navy brat, spending his earliest years in California on various bases. After his father passed, the family returned to Ash Grove, and would remain in the southwest Missouri area. He graduated from Central High School and attended college studying  architecture.

Renshaw worked for the city of Springfield for 30 years, working up 10 pay scales to end as the Supervisor for Utility Cuts. Prior, he was the lead for Bridges and Waterways, ran a snowplow for 25 years on the city's longest A route, and spent the last five years of his career as the crew supervisor.  

Renshaw was preceded in death by his parents, and his stepfather Richard L. Reed.   
He is survived by his fiancé Dr. Charise A. Price, BS, DC and her family Andrea Hopper, Kenneth Scott, Nautica Scott, Benjamin Hopper, Daniel Hopper and Craig Urban; his family: Kathleen and Peter Homsey, Debbie and Mark Evans, Randy Reed, niece Tashia Warren and Dustin Burris, and other family and friends.

A celebration of his life was May 21, 2022, at Hood United Methodist Church, 139 N. Walnut Ave. Republic, where he was a member. Visitation was at 11 a.m. with the service at 11:30 a.m.
