City of Ash Grove gets good opinion from annual audit

The Ash Grove Board of Aldermen received good news from Rachael Day, of Decker and Degood P.C. at the Nov. 5 aldermen meeting. Giving Ash Grove’s annual audit report, Day conveyed that the city received an “unmodified” rating per the audit.
“We’ve given you an unmodified opinion, which is good,” Day said. Day added that the only change she would recommend for the city is how some bookkeeping designations are made in regards to insurance.
In other discussion, it was announced that the city had received multiple complaints of reckless driving around the school.
Ash Grove Police Chief Darin Chance said the department, “proactively increased safety in the area,” following the complaints.
