Country music singer Doug Stone talks to the audience between songs during Cords Against Cancer.

Country music singer Doug Stone was the headlining performer at Cords Against Cancer, a fundraising concert and dinner held on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Round Barn on Clear Creek event venue. The event was a benefit for My Final Chapter, a non-profit started by cancer survivor David Aldridge to help those diagnosed with terminal cancer "live out one final dream." An estimated 60 people attended.
During his concert, Stone sang some of the most popular songs he'd written, including "Why Didn't I Think of That," "A Jukebox with a County Song," "Fourteen Minutes Old" and "Too Busy Being in Love." The evening also included a pulled pork dinner catered by Maple Lane and music by the band Adamant Faith, which opened for Stone.
