Cyndy Phillips

Cyndy Phillips was born June 25, 1956 in Boscobel, Wisc. to Fay and Darlene (Smith) Karasek.
After spending her first 12 years in California, her family moved to Forsyth, where she graduated high school in 1974. Shortly after, she moved to Virginia to work briefly for the FBI before returning home to earn an LPN Degree. She worked at various retirement homes in Greene and Christian county before becoming a nursing home administrator at Sonshine Manor in Republic.
Phillips married her late husband, Steve Phillips, on March 15, 1986. They had three sons and raised their family together in Republic. She could always be found at the football stadium on Friday nights or a baseball diamond where she watched her boys compete. She loved hosting team gatherings for her boys, spending time with family and friends, and a good long conversation.
Phillips is survived by her siblings Julie Dietrich and Michael, children Michael (Courtney) and Matthew, and grandchildren Paxton, Layla, Emmitt, and Everett.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fay and Darlene Karasek, her youngest son Marcus, her husband of 34 years, Steve, and her parents-in-law Charles and Mary Phillips.
