David J. “Too Tall” Thompson

David J. “Too Tall” Thompson, 75 years old, of Springfield, passed away May 11, 2022, having had complications develop following a surgery.
Thompson came to the Ozarks in the early 1980s and spent the past 40 years helping others achieve freedom from active addiction. He invested untold hours in service work to the 12 Step programs of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. He died brimming with love for his higher power and gratitude to the 12 Step programs that had given him long-term recovery. 
Cremation was under the direction of Birch Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Prospect Cemetery, Bois D’Arc.
