Republic Parks and Rec hosts 10th annual mud run at Brookline Park
Hundreds of participants made tracks Saturday to Republic’s 10th annual got Mud? run at Brookline Park. The sloppy affair was made even more so by a rain shower that passed through during the morning event. The challenge included three groups, ages 6-10, 11-15 and family/adult, who were the last to ford the fun. The youngster track was a 1.5-mile course with 25 obstacles; while the others ran a 2-mile journey with 25 obstacles, which included a giant mud slide, a tire climb and a gauntlet. Participation numbers were not made available by the city of Republic by press time.
