Decy Mildred Delk

Decy Mildred Delk, 98, of Everton, the daughter of Floyd and Jane Wilson was born May 7, 1922. She passed away Sunday evening, March 21, 2021 in Ash Grove Health Care Center.
She was born close to Clever. In her younger years, she worked at the Dixie Dress Shop in Springfield. She married Bobby Gene Delk, Nov. 10, 1945. They lived in the Everton community their entire married life. She was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church for many years while she raised a family and lived on the farm.
After retiring and moving to town, she joined the Everton Baptist Church where she continued teaching children’s Sunday School Classes and Bible School classes for many more years.
Delk and Bobby were married for over 60 years when he preceded her in death, Dec. 18, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Leaford Wilson.
Delk is survived by her three sons, Benny and Tasha of Kansas City, Dennis of Greenfield, Roger and Bonnie of Everton; and three grandsons.
Visitation was from 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church, Everton, with burial following in Liberty Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Liberty Cemetery in Delk’s name and may be left at the funeral home.
