DEWEY NICHOLS

Dewey Nichols, 83, of Clever passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2023. He was born on Feb. 3, 1940, in Clever, to Archie “A.C.” and Mabel (Jones) Nichols, one of four children in the family.
He attended school in Clever. Nichols was a lifelong farmer, raising dairy cows and pigs. On March 13, 1965 he married Bobbie Lee Coonis, and they had three sons, Ed, Tim and Kevin. He attended Sac River Cowboy Church and was a faithful follower of Christ.
Nichols is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Bobbie, an infant son Kevin, brother Rudy Nichols, an infant brother Leon and a great-niece.
He is survived by his sons Ed and Tim, a grandson, sister Kathie Barrett, niece Valorie Nichols, nephew Bryan Barrett and his significant other Misty Haden and a great-nephew.
A visitation is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2023 at Meadors Funeral Home in Clever. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2023, also in the Clever Chapel. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Clever.
