Diane Lynn Verstraete-Hagar, 62, of Springfield, passed away Jan. 9, 2020 in Springfield. Verstraete-Hagar was born in Beloit, Wisc. to John and Sara Spohn on Feb. 13, 1957.
She was a proud member of the Monett High School class of 1975. She cherished the friendships she made while working at Jumping Jacks and Jack Henry in Monett.
Verstraete-Hagar was a devoted mother of three children, Angela, Gina and Johnny.
Verstraete-Hagar is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Sarah; her brothers Greg and Gary Spohn; her ex-husband, Steve Verstraete; and her precious basset hound companion, Ringo.
She is survived by her cat, Buster of the home; her daughter, Angela (Brian) Risch of Norman, Okla.; her daughter Gina (Will) Branch of Springfield; her son Johnny (Cydney) Verstraete of Willard; six very loved grandchildren; her sister-in-law Julie Spohn of North Canton, Ohio; niece Stephanie (Paul) Henderson of Bloomington, Ind.; nephew Andrew Spohn of Cleveland, Ohio; two great-nieces Grace and Becca; and her life-long best friend Vickie Friend.
