Donald Gene Moreno

Donald Gene Moreno, 61, of Republic, passed away Nov. 1, 2019 in his home.
He was born Jan. 28, 1958, in Wichita, Kan., to Jesse and Naomi (Brown) Moreno.
Moreno was a custodian at MSU, as well as an artist doing western scenes.
He is survived by: his wife Malinda of the home; sons, Jordan and Jason Moreno of Springfield; step- daughter, Chelsea Sorenson of Republic; sisters, Shelia and Sherry Moreno of Parsons, Kan.; and one grandson.
The body was cremated and funeral services were held Nov. 15, in Birch Funeral Chapel in Ash Grove with Rev. Harley Mostenbocker officiating. The remains were returned to the family.
