Donald Leroy Creed

Donald Leroy Creed, 87, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021. He was born outside of Walnut Grove to Raven Hiram Creed and Nancy (Beth) (Davis) Creed, the fourth of eight children. He was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School and served as a corporal in the Army after graduation.
In 1954, he married Shirley (Willey) and to this union four children were born—Nancy, Nadyne, Dennis and Danny. Later, in 1980, he married Linda (Bone) Fugett. Her two kids, Kim and Jeff-were then blessed with “Daddy Don” who taught them what a father’s true love was like.
Throughout his driving career, he drove lime and gas trucks, car transporters, Trailways and Greyhound buses, and retired from being an Associated Wholesale Grocer’s truck driver. In his earlier years, he loved to ride and break Fox Trot horses and drive his wagon with his mules. He attended Sac River Cowboy Church while he was able.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda, brothers—J. R., Dean, and Mike Creed, and sisters, Myra Herndon and Betty Dewitt, and grandson, Donald Grote. He is survived by his kids, Nancy (Gary) Hall of Willard, Nadyne (Kenny) Robberson of Everton,
Dennis (Donna) Creed of Willard, Danny (Trish) Creed of Ponca City, Okla., Kim (Hank) Seevers of Clever and Jeff Fugett of Marshfield, 19 grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters--Lois Grantham of Walnut Grove and Mary Vinson of Sarcoxie.
Visitation will be held at Ash Grove from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Sac River Cowboy Church Event Center, on Hwy. EE, west of the airport, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Greene Lawn Cemetery in Walnut Grove.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Sac River Cowboy Church Building Fund, Special Olympics, or the charity of your choice.
