Donald Michael Ivaska

Donald Michael Ivaska, 87, of Monett, passed away Sept. 13, 2019 while staying at the Birch Pointe Nursing Center in Springfield. He was born in Mosinee, Wisc. Dec. 3, 1931; to the late John and Mary (Kubik) Ivaska. He was married in 1956 in Berwin, Ill., to Erma Mae Strong; she preceded him in death in 2014. He was a Tool and Die Master, a veteran of the United States Army and liked to work in the garden and yard.
Ivaska is survived by: sons: Ken (Janice) Ivaska of Romeoville, Ill. and Ray Ivaska (Barbara) of Pennsburg, Penn.; daughters, Robin Ivaska of Joliet, Ill., Sue (Randy) Rucker of Springfield, Terrie (Bob) Calderon of Troud Texas, Francine Ivaska of Joliet, Ill. and Lisa (Chuck) Elliott of Plant City, Fl.; brothers, John Ivaska and James Ivaska both of Wisconsin; sister: Evelyn Nechuta of Wisconsin; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Mary; wife, Erma Mae; son, Mike Ivaska; brother, Chuck Ivaska; and sisters, Pauline Shearer and Loretta Gunseor.
Graveside services were held Sept. 17, 2019 at the Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monett. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
