Doris May (Mayfield) Helzel

Doris May (Mayfield) Helzel, 81, of Stockton, passed away, Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019. She was born May 24, 1938 in Trail, to James A. and Ada A. (Young) Mayfield. Doris and William Helzel were united
in marriage Dec. 7, 2011. Helzel is survived by her husband,
William of the home; children, Al- len Puckett of Marionville, Rachel Boettcher and husband Mike of Kansas, Shari Puckett of Cassville; grandchildren, Robert Rasar, Lisa Gregory, John Puckett; eight great- grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Wilken, Ellis Mayfield and husband Trude, Lowell Mayfield and wife Betty, Bill Mayfield and wife Jan, Carol Goddard, Ann Sappington and husband Charles, Jeannie Gray and husband Tom, Fern Crumrine and husband Elwin; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
Helzel was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sisters, Wanda Mayfield, Lela Mayfield; brother, James Mayfield; and sister, Ruby Gum.
Visitation was from 1 p.m. until service time, Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 at Walnut Grove First Baptist Church, Walnut Grove. Funeral services began at 2 p.m., at the church, with burial following in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Doris’ name to Hospice Compassus and may be left at the funeral home. Arrangements under the direc- tion of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove.
