Eileen Sifferman

Eileen Sifferman, 96, of Topeka, Kan. passed away peacefully, with her family byher side, on Aug. 16, 2021. She was born Nov. 15, 1924, to Elmer T. and Ruth Ann (Lambert) McQuaide, in Barberton, Ohio. She was the third of four children in the home.
She graduated from high school in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married Milford Wayne Sifferman on Dec. 18, 1948, and this union was blessed with a daughter, Gail. She worked as a waitress at Waid’s Restaurant in Kansas City, and Aunt Martha’s Restaurant in Springfield. She was also a switchboard operator in Kansas City, as well as a bus driver at KCI Airport until her retirement.
Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings, Elmer Thomas McQuaide Jr., Ruth Ann Sparks and Betty Baldwin. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Milford; daughter Gail Beale of Topeka; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, as well as other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society (5720 SW 21st St, Topeka, KS 66604) or to TARC (2701 SW Randolph St, Topeks, KS 66611).
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic.
Burial will take place following the services at Rock Prairie Cemetery. Family has asked that anyone in attendance wear a facial covering.
