Freda Maxine Baum

Freda Maxine Baum, 89, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield. She was born July 7, 1930 in Arcola, the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Neva Christel (Feazel ) Houston.
Baum was united in marriage on June 24, 1952 to her husband Elvin Joseph Baum.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elvin Joseph Baum, her parents Andrew Jackson and Neva Christel Houston, brother Clyde (Bill) Houston and sisters, Dorothy Pickering, Mary Morquecho and Genevo Jo Land.
She is survived by her son James K. and wife Terry Baum, one grandchild, two great-grandchildren; one brother; Bob Houston and numerous other extended family and friends.
A visitation is scheduled from 10-11 a.m. on Satur- day June 6, 2020 at Meadors Funeral Home, Clever. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Clever.
