Gayle Ann Browning

Gayle Ann Browning was born May 27, 1951 in Carbondale, Ill. to Dee and Faye Speer. At the age of 6, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and. She passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the age of 70.
Browning fell in love and married Phillip Lee Browning within months of her dad introducing them. They wed on June 16, 1979. They were blessed with a son, Phillip Allen, in November of 1984. They served in several churches before coming to Halltown, in 1992. She started her career at Clever Schools in 1997.
Browning retired from teaching in 2015 and spent the next several years chasing and spoiling grandbabies, supporting her family, catching up with friends, caring for her animals and tending to her hobbies.
Browning is survived by her husband, Phil Browning; son and daughter-in-law, P.A. and Alicia Browning; three grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Jennifer Speer; niece Laura Dawn Duckworth (and family); nephews Rob Speer (and family), and David Speer; many extended family, friends and students.
A celebration of life was from 2-4 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
