Harold “Bud” Clark Dresslaer

Harold “Bud” Clark Dresslaer, Jr., 77, of Elkland, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Mercy Hospital. Dresslaer was born July 17, 1943 in Springfield, to Harold and Martha Dresslaer. He was a graduate of McAuley High School, in Joplin. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving from 1963–1969. He retired from Litton Industries as an electrician. He loved fishing, wood working, and gardening. He was a former Scout Master of Troop 88 of Marshfield.
He was a member of Haymes Chapel of Elkland, where he served as an elder and chair of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee. Survivors include his three sons, Harold Scott Dresslaer of Carthage; Daniel G. Dresslaer and wife Lois, of Clever; Matthew Clark Dresslaer and wife Carrie, of Nixa; son-in-law Philip White of Eufaula, Okla.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Major James Dresslaer of Wichita, Kan; four sisters, Jeananne Smith and husband Steve, of Stockton, Mary Hayes and husband Bob of Crane, Patti Parrigon of Pierce City, and Terri Parrigon and husband Mike of Reddings Mill; and a host of family and friends. Dresslaer was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Mechelle White; sister- in-law, Vicki Dresslaer; and one brother-in-law, Larry Parrigon.
A visitation was from 12:30–1:30 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2021 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, with a celebration of life at 1:30 p.m. Private family interment will take place at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. A reception was held immediately after the burial, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. For family and friends unable to attend, the service was viewed live via Zoom.
