Harold “Cap” Richard Foster, Jr.

Harold “Cap” Richard Foster, Jr., of Springfield born to the late Harold Richard Foster, Sr., and the late Wanda Mae (Kirkey) Foster, on Dec. 7, 1942, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Mercy, leaving 79 years of memories for family and friends to cherish.
Foster graduated from Hillcrest High School, and served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Frisco and BNSF railroads for 43 years, and Pinegar Farms for over 20 years. He loved working on and driving cars with big engines.
Preceding Foster in death are his parents, a daughter Tammy Dee, and a son Scotty Eugene. Survivors include: his wife of 10 years, Cam; stepson John (Kimmie) Ikenroth; stepdaughter Corie (Matt) Summers; brother Stevie (Christi) Foster; sisters Karren (Howard) Householder, and Sheilla (Tim) O’Connor; and seven grandchildren, along with a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, Ebenezer United Methodist Church, or one of choice.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
