Harold Don Maness

Harold Don Maness, 77, of Republic, passed away at his home on Aug. 3, 2020. He was born Dec. 10, 1942, to Donald and Regina (Sifferman) Maness, in Wichita, Kan.
Maness married Sandy Fowler. They had three sons, Keith, Scott, and Paul. Sandy and Harold just recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
Maness was a 60-year member of Hood United Methodist Church, Republic. He was a 50-year member and Past Master of the Republic Masonic Lodge #570 and a fourth-generation member. He also served as Past Officer of the York Rite Bodies in Springfield, was a member of the Scottish Rite, a 50-year member of Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in Springfield as well, as the Republic Chapter #370 Order of the Eastern Star, the Masonic Lodge was very important to him.
Maness is preceded in death by his father, Donald S. Maness, son; Keith Andrew Maness, and brother-in-law; Larry Fowler.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife Sandy; his mother Regina Maness; sons Scott and Paul (Lacey) Maness; sisters Marilyn (Jim) Ferguson and Vernell (Jerry) Ward; sisters-in-law Linda (Jack) Crawford and Brenda (Bill) Adams; aunt Rosemary (Alan) Comisky; uncle Norris Sifferman, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and four step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children (4400 Clayton Ave, St. Louis, MO), or Hood United Methodist Church (139 N Walnut Ave, Republic, MO).
Burial was held in Lindsay Cemetery, Republic.
