Jerry Alan Hutchinson

Jerry Alan Hutchinson, 67, of Springfield, passed away Jan. 19, 2021 at his
daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 24, 1953 in
Springfield, to Charles and Ruth (Rollins) Hutchinson. He grew up on a dairy farm
with his three siblings.
He met the love of his life, Norma May, in 1984 and soon after they were blessed
with their daughter, Christina.
Hutchinson was a graduate of Drury, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
He worked for Solid State Circuits, as a supervisor, for over 20 years until they
closed and then he held various jobs until retirement. He wrote the routing
program for the circuit board in the Patriot missiles.
Jerry and Norma got married on 11-11-2011 at 11:11 a.m. on the heart shaped
rock in Fassnight Park in Springfield. Norma is planning a celebration of Jerry’s
life to take place there at Fassnight Park once the weather gets a little warmer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a niece; Marie Hutchinson, brothers-in-
law; Bruce Niblock, Michael Robbins and Bob Johnston.
He is survived by wife Norma, daughter; Christina Hutchinson and five
grandchildren; Roy Hutchinson and his wife Kathy, Dixie Niblock and Rita
Johnston, as well as many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
