JERRY ALLEN UNDERWOOD

Jerry Allen Underwood, 76, of Ash Grove, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023. He was born Aug. 18, 1946, in Springfield, to John Wiley and Orpha (Wheeler) Underwood.  
Underwood graduated from Everton High School and retired from Burlington Northern Railroad after 30 years. In his younger days, he enjoyed horses and riding his motorcycle.
Underwood is survived by his children, Tammy Pendergrass and husband Jeff, Timmy Underwood and wife Tammy, Jeffery Underwood; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister Luetta Moore; other family and many friends.
Underwood was preceded in death by his parents John and Orpha Underwood; daughter Tracy Underwood; great-granddaughter Gracie Snider; siblings Nancy Crockett, Vernon Underwood, Delbert Underwood; niece Laura Curnes and beloved dog Jack.  
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time, Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m., at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Oak Grove or Flint Hill Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
