Jerry Dean Hall

Jerry Dean Hall, 72, of Springfield, passed away Dec. 24, 2018, at Cox South, Springfield.
Hall was born Dec. 11, 1946 in Omaha, Neb., to Edna Louise Stromquist and Gerald Hall. He grew up in Tekamah, Neb., and graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
Hall is survived by his wife Phyllis Hall of Springfield. Jerry and Phyllis were united in marriage on May 20, 2001. Hall is also survived by one son, Michael Chad Hall of Urbandale, Iowa and friend, Jennifer Allen; two daughters, Carie Routh and husband, Denny, Nixa, and Sara Hall of Republic. Hall is also survived by one stepson, Brian Keith Taylor and wife Sonya, Aldrich, and one stepdaughter, Natalie Gilmore and husband Paul of Morrisville.
Hall had six grandchildren, and eight step grandchildren, and four step great-grandchildren.
Hall is also survived by three sisters, Deloise Marvine and husband Don of Maryland, Marilyn Burns and husband Robert, N.Y., and Lynn Hall of California plus a host of nieces and nephews.
Hall was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Rollie.
Hall joined the U.S. Army and served his country honorably for three years.
Hall was an Allstate Division Area Manager for most of his career where he received many awards and accolades. He retired in 2012 as a financial broker.
There was a visitation from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, in Meadors Funeral Home, 314 N. Main Ave. Republic. Graveside services, with military honors, were Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Morrisville Cemetery, 1158 E. 527th Road Morrisville.
