Jewell Mae Wimmer

Jewell Mae Wimmer, 87, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2019. She was born on April 6, 1932, to Frank and Mirta (Mooneyham) Butler, on their family farm near Republic.
Following graduation from Republic High School in 1949, Jewell attended Draughon’s Business College and worked for Ohio National Insur- ance Company. She married Robert
L. Wimmer on Nov. 8, 1952. To this union, they had four children. Jewell was a lifelong member of Hopewell Baptist. She was an accomplished seamstress, pianist, homemaker and devoted her life to family and church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Butler; brother, Ray Butler; niece, Janet (Butler) Sanders; and nephew, Kevin Butler.
Wimmer is survived by her husband, Robert L. Wimmer; daughter, LouAnn (Gary) Short; son, Robert A. (Leslie) Wimmer; daughter, Susan (Brad) Coggin; son, Tim Wimmer; two grandchildren; sister, Maxine McGruder; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. Service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m., with burial following, at Wade Chapel Cemetery. Friends and family may leave con- dolences at www.meadorsfuneral.com.
