Joan K. McDaniel

Joan K. McDaniel, 80, of Republic, passed away July 20, 2021. She was born Jan. 28, 1941, in Jefferson City, to Louis and Teresa (Stoecklein) Pickert. She was one of 11 children, and a twin.
She graduated from Helias High School in Jefferson City. She married Frank McDaniel on Dec. 24, 1969, and this union was blessed with four children, Frank, Ash, and twins, Crystal and Casey.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Frank, who passed in 2020, her twin sister, Pat Pavelac, sister, Lou Wood and a brothers, Sonny and Jospeh Pickert.
McDaniel is survived by her children; Frank McDaniel, Jr. and wife Shannon, Ash McDaniel and fiancé Misty, Crystal Pfitzner and husband Jason and Casey McDaniel and wife Crystalyn, eight grandchildren; siblings Betty Snavely, Janie Zeller and husband Ron, Judy Barnholdt and husband Jan, Jack Pickert and wife Barb, Jerry Pickert and Mary Scott and husband Ron, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and countless friends.

A celebration of life was Saturday, July 24, 2021, at noon at New Home Baptist Church, Everton, with Pastor Wally Baldwin leading the celebration.
