JOAN LEE (WAGNER) COLLINS

Joan Lee (Wagner) Collins – aka “Tootie”, 82, of Everton passed away Feb. 4, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born April 21, 1940, in Altoona, Pa. to Helen and William Wagner, Jr.
She graduated from Orange High School in 1958. She married Carol Gene “Bob” Collins in April 1966 and moved to Missouri in 1967.
Joan retired from the Ash Grove School System after 40+ years as the secretary to the superintendent and Board of Education. She was also an active member at Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Matthew Collins (Jayna) of Morrisville, grandson Jacob Collins of Willard, her siblings John Wagner of Anchorage, Alaska, Don Wagner (Leslie) of Yuma, Ariz., Brock Wagner (Jean) of Tustin, Calif., Bill Wagner (Roxanne) of Ash Grove, and Jeannie Smith (Chuck) of Marana, Ariz. Several nieces and nephews, many close friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carol Gene (Bob) Collins, her parents; her aunt Mary Crane of Port Matilda, Pa., and her nephew Donnie Wagner of Anchorage, Alaska.

A visitation was held on Friday Feb. 10 and funeral service were held Saturday Feb. 11, at Greenlawn South, Springfield with burial at John’s Chapel Cemetery in Ash Grove.
