Joann McGehee

Joann McGehee, 81, of Billings, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, in Republic Nursing and Rehab, Republic. She was born on March 24, 1937, in Billings, the daughter of Orville Otis and Lillian (Welch) Hale.
McGehee was united in marriage to Donald Benjamin “Don” McGehee on July 6, 1957, and they enjoyed 59 years together before Don’s death on Feb. 15, 2017.
She had been employed with the Springfield News-Leader and Penny Power for many years.
McGehee, a member of the First Baptist Church of Billings for over 50 years, served as the church pianist until just a few weeks before her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Gerald and Harold.
McGehee is survived by her three children and their spouses, Ben (Missy) McGehee, Penny (Rex) Merritt, and Kim (Greg) Jenisch; eight grandchildren and their spouses; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A visitation was held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, in Meadors Funeral Home, 101 NE Pine, Billings, MO 65610.
The funeral service was at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, also in the funeral home. Burial followed the service in Smart Cemetery, Billings. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Billings.  Family and friends may share online condolences at
