John “Paul” Daugherty

John “Paul” Daugherty, 48, of Highlandville, formerly of Hurley, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Daugherty was born on Sept. 16, 1973, in Springfield, to Rex and Sue (Medlin) Daugherty. He was the youngest and only boy in a home of five children.
Paul and Heather had two children, Allison and Cameron. Daugherty owned and operated Paul’s Plumbing out of Nixa. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, bonfires and riding his motorcycle. He would go out of his way to help anyone and everyone. He had a big heart for animals, especially his Australian Shepherd, Scout.
 
He is preceded in death by his father, and a great niece, Paityn Keithley.

Daugherty is survived by his daughters, Allison Matthews and husband Hunter, and Cameron Daugherty; mother Sue Daugherty; sisters Tammy Essary and husband Richard, Lisa Keithley, Tricia Gammill and Carol Myrick and husband Matt; a host of nieces and nephews, countless friends and other extended family.

A visitation was from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022, at Meadors Funeral Home in Clever, with a funeral following to celebrate his life at 2 p.m. Burial took place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Allison and Cameron to assist them in designing the perfect headstone.
