KEENA (NANNY) CHASTAIN

Keena (Nanny) Chastain, 81, of Clever passed away with her loving family by her side, on July 21, 2023. She was born on Feb. 5, 1942, in Springfield to Thomas and Eva (Rickman) Bird.
She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in Arkansas in 1960 and went on to attend Blue Bonnet Beauty College (class of 1962), becoming a beautician, which she made a lifelong career. She had two daughters, Missy, and Melinda. She was a member of Wells of Joy in Nixa, and a past member of Mt. Sinai Church in Boaz.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Sandra Gilbert.
Chastain is survived by her daughters, Missy Chastain (Dell), and Melinda Beal, three granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, as well as other extended family and friends.
A visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Meadors Funeral Home in Clever. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, also at Meadors Funeral Home with Pastor Hosea Bilyeu officiating. Burial followed at Frazier Cemetery in Boaz.
