Keith “Gene” Hudson

Keith “Gene” Hudson, 96, of Aldrich, passed away, on Friday, May 17, 2019.
Hudson, the son of Louis and Eula (Burnham) Hudson, was born in Popular Bluff, on April 24, 1923. On Oct. 26, 1941, Gene and Eula “Chris” Crook were united in marriage and shared over 77 years together.
Hudson faithfully served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. After his time in the service he went to work for Culligan Water Softener, retiring after 31 years, as the plant manager. After retirement, Hudson and his family moved to the Aldrich area. They loved the area and were active in the Eudora Baptist Church, where Hudson served as a deacon since 1981. He enjoyed farming and his 1941 John Deere Tractor.
Hudson was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Oscar Hudson.
Hudson is survived by his wife, Chris Hudson; sons; Douglas Hud- son and wife Carol of Idaho, Charles Hudson and wife Renee of Walnut Grove; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Sena; other family and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 21, 2019, from 10 a.m. until service at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services began at 11 a.m. at Walnut Grove funeral home, with burial following at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Aldrich.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Hudson’s name to Pleasant Ridge Cemetery or Eudora Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home.
