Kenneth Lee Stewart

Kenneth Lee Stewart, 78, of Republic, passed away April 1, 2019, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Des Moines, Iowa, to William and Fern (Coons) Stewart.
Steward was married to Judith M. (Ferrell) Sept. 10, 2010.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from the Fed- eral Bureau of Prisons in Memphis, Tenn. He was in law enforcement for 42 years. He enjoyed being in nature and listening to bluegrass music.
Stewart is survived by: wife, Judi; daughter, Kimberly Stewart; step- daughters, Tonya Berkebile and Courtney Chojnacki; brothers, Bill (Gloria) Stewart and Bob (Sue) Stewart; four grand- children; step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a golden retriever, Ben and a border collie, Lady. He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Mary; and grandson, James.
