Lady Pirates place five on all-conference softball team

Ash Grove has five players named to all-district team
 
With the 2022 high school softball season over, the Southwest Conference and Class 2, District 7 have released their all-conference and all-district teams and the Lady Pirates were represented well, with five players chosen for each squad.
    Sophomore Ashlyn Gerla was the only Lady Pirate to make the SWC first team as she was named an all-conference infielder. Junior Chelsey Andrus made it as a second team outfielder and senior Madison Mobley was chosen as a second team utility player. Sophomore Chelsye Graham was selected as an honorable mention catcher and Madison Grube was named an honorable mention infielder.
    Diamond head coach Kelsey Parrish was named the Coach of the Year and Diamond senior Madison Bentley was named the Player of the Year.
    Diamond, Pierce City and Sarcoxie led all schools with seven selections; followed by Ash Grove and Marionville with five, Lockwood, Miller, and Stockton with four and Pleasant Hope with three.
    The Lady Pirates also placed five players on the Class 2, District 12 All-District team with Graham and Andrus being named to the first team at catcher and outfielder and Gerla, Grube, and Mobley all being named to the second team to infielder and utility, respectfully.
    Buffalo and Skyline led all schools with six selections; followed by Ash Grove and Stockton with five, El Dorado Springs and Fair Grove with three and Conway and Pleasant Hope with one each.
