Lemyra Lynn DeClue

Lemyra Lynn DeClue, 50, of Ash Grove, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, with her family by her side. Her life was taken very quickly and much too soon after a tragic cancer diagnosis.

DeClue was born in Springfield, at Cox North hospital on Aug. 17, 1971, to Willis and Lois DeClue. She attended Ash Grove public schools and graduated in 1989, later studying at SMSU in Springfield.

She worked for a time in Springfield at Barclay's Bridal, then embarked on a career at Bass Litho where she was employed for a number of years. One of the things she enjoyed most about the job was meeting clients and presenting them with their finished print jobs.  
Her daughter Rylie was born to her and Bill Shoemaker on July 1, 2010.

DeClue was preceded in death by her father Willis DeClue, brother David, grandparents Clyde and Alma (Jones) Burney and Helen (Pashia) DeClue.

DeClue is survived by her daughter Rylie Shoemaker; mother Lois Scally and husband Linnie of Ash Grove; sister Kathy Wilson; brother-in-law Joe and nephew Karis of Rogersville; uncle Leonard DeClue and wife Marlene, of Everton; aunt Dorothy Adams and husband Pete, of Springfield; and many cousins and lifelong friends.

Visitation was 3-5 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at Birch Funeral Home in Ash Grove. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday, July 11, at Sinking Creek Cemetery near Everton with Pastor Hosea Bilyeu officiating. Friends are asked to join the family for refreshments afterward at the Farmhouse Bar & Grill on Main Street in Ash Grove.
 
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home.
