LINDA AYERS

Linda Ayers, 67, of Springfield passed away on Nov. 24, 2023 surrounded by family at home. She was born on Jan. 19, 1956, to Bill and Margaret Hands in Houston, Texas.  
She was united in marriage on Feb. 3, 1978 to Cecil Ayers and they were married for 45 years.
She was a part of the Red Hat Society for many years.
She is survived by her husband Cecil; her son, Randy (Melissa) Ayers; three grandkids; her sister, Ann (Mick) Smith; and her nephew and his family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 9, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic.
The family is requesting that anyone who wants to participate, wear red and purple to honor her many years in the Red Hat Society.
