Margaret A. White

Margaret A. White, 91, of Ash Grove, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018.
Margaret, the daughter of Claude and Mary Edith (Thompson) Manion, was born in Elwood, on Jan. 5, 1927. Margaret and Eugene White were united in marriage in 1947 and shared over 45 years together, before Eugene’s passing in 1992.
White was always working hard and always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. Margaret and Eugene started the Missouri Fox Trotters Association and loved working with the horses. She also bottle-fed calves, worked in the garden, and mowed the yard. After all her hard day’s work she retired and traveled the country. Above all, White loved her family and taking care of them.
White is survived by her daughter, Arleen Chastain and husband Jack of Ash Grove; granddaughter, Erin Albertson of Ark.; great-grandson; Jaqsen Davis; caregiver Katrina York of Springfield; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.  
White was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter Loretta; son Louis White; and seven siblings.
Private family graveside services were held at Ash Grove Cemetery.  Pallbears were: Bobby Swiney, Larry Daniel, Brett Daniel, Nick Baker, Jack Chastain, Jaqsen Davis and Erin Albertson.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Homes, Ash Grove.
