Melissa Ann Chism

Melissa Ann Chism, 48, of Willard, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022. Chism was born in Springfield, on Dec. 15, 1973, to Francis and Shirley Ann (Stehlik) Conrad, and united in marriage on Oct. 18, 1996, to James “Chris” Chism. Melissa and Chris shared over 18 years together before Chris’ passing in 2014. 
Chism was a graduate of Walnut Grove High School and lifelong area resident and entrepreneur, owning a salon as a licensed cosmetologist before starting Chism Plumbing, which she and her husband Chris ran for over 15 years.
Gone before her, was her husband, James “Chris” Chism and mother, Shirley Conrad. 
Chism is survived by her children, Blayne Chism and partner Tabi Jarman, Makayla Chism, Chloe Chism; father Francis Conrad; siblings, Randy Conrad and wife Christina, Lisa Mason and husband Kevin, Michael Conrad and wife Shannon; special aunt Zyma Hutchins; aunts, other family and many friends.
A celebration of life visitation was at noon, Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove.
