Merle Lucille Mallonee

Merle Lucille Mallonee, 93, of Hurley, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 in Mercy Hospital, Aurora. She was born on Nov. 23, 1925 in Abesville, daughter of Clyde and Neva (Richardson) Davis.
Mallonee was united in marriage to Bill Mallonee on Oct. 11, 1947.
Mallonee was a homemaker; a farmer; and a volunteer at the Chris- tian Ministries Academy. She was a member of the Spring Creek Saddle Club. She enjoyed crocheting, cook- ing, square dancing and watching hummingbirds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; four siblings, Marie Gamble, Doris Cutbirth, Lloyd Davis, and Dale Davis; and a granddaughter Angela Garbee.
Mallonee is survived by two sons and their wives, John and Sherrie Mallonee, and Jim and Jan Mallonee; four grandchildren, Rodney and Brian Mallonee, Ryan Wise; and Cheri Butler; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Davis; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A visitation was from 10-11 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019 in Meadors Funeral Home, Clever. Burial followed the service in Wise Hill Cemetery, Clever. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Angela Mallonee Garbee Scholarship Fund at College of the Ozarks, Point Lookout.
