Miller Cardinals easily take down Pirate footballers

The Ash Grove Pirate football squad traveled to Miller to play the Cardinals Sept. 21 and lost, 62-21. Pirate Kole Steeley threw for 74 yards and rushed for 11 yards with a touchdown; Draven Zeigler had 72 yards receiving, Jonas Adams had a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and Jake Thompson added a rushing touchdown in the loss. Ash Grove now sits in seventh place in the Class 1, District 2 standings with 26.7 points. The Pirates will host the Lockwood Tigers this Friday night.
