Naoma Ruth Williams

Naoma Ruth Williams, 81, of Republic, passed away on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020. She was born June 12, 1938, in Lawrenceburg, to Troy and Juanita (Box) Collins, who precede her in death.
Williams married Hal Williams on Oct. 25, 1958. From this union, came two children. Williams loved her cookbooks and cooking and was known of making wonderful hot rolls. Her favorite things were doting on her husband of 61 years and spoiling the grand- and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and was remembered for working at the Greenleaf Gardens. Art was another of Naoma’s talents. She enjoyed doing landscape painting. Naoma was an active member at Hood Methodist Church, Second Half and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for years.
She is survived by her husband, Hal; her two children, Karen (Randall) Fiene and Randall (Deanna) Williams; seven grandchildren, Jarred Williams, Kaelei (Brandon) Taylor, Paige Fiene, Madison Fiene, Olivia (Garrett) Smith, Haley Smith and Nathan Smith; four great-grandchildren, Malleri Taylor, Skye Smith, Kenna Smith and Sally Smith; two brothers, Charles (Linda) Collins and Kent (Teresa) Collins.
Visitation for Williams was from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2020, at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, the service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, at Hood Methodist Church, Republic. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Children’s and Youth Missions of Hood UMC and Community Kitchen, in Williams’ honor.
