Nola Marie Coble

Nola Marie Coble, 97, of Springfield passed away June 23, 2022 after a short illness. She was born July 3, 1924 in Lincoln County, Okla. to Tillman and Rena Farrow. She graduated from Ash Grove High School in 1941. She was united in marriage to Alfred Ben Coble in Buffalo, on March 11, 1942. They shared their lives together for 66 years. They had one son, Benny Coble.
Coble was a homemaker and then later in years worked outside the home at Lily Tulip, Rogers and Baldwin Hardware and then worked as a secretary at Reed Junior High School. She also belonged to a Garden Club, a Quilt Guild, taught Sunday School, served on a committee that prepared meals for families attending funeral services and delivered homebound meals for the Ash Grove Senior Center.
Coble was most recently a member of South Haven Baptist Church. She previously attended First Baptist Church of Ash Grove and Temple Baptist Church in Springfield.
Coble was preceded in death by parents; husband Alfred Ben Coble; sister Irene Elson; brother Kenneth Farrow and brother Tillman Farrow, Jr.
Coble is survived by son, Benny Coble (wife Robin); a grandson, two great-grandsons; sister-in-law Joyce Farrow; daughter-in-law Mary Coble and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was 4-6 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield. The funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022 also at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with interment to follow at Ash Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to South Haven Baptist Church.
